Mission Weight Loss started 7 years ago when our nutritionist Manu Gurpreet Singh wanted to shed her own weight. So her doctor directed her to a well-known dietician, where she was given a diet chart which was pre-typed, and not at all as per the body requirements. To her horror, she was asked to eat just 1/ 4 cup of rice in a meal, call it being naïve or destiny she took 1/4 cup of uncooked rice, cooked it and ate, end result she gained 3 kg in a week. On this Manu was devastated and went straight to the dietician, on which she responded that 1/4 cup of cooked rice to be taken (not uncooked).
The Journey from XL to XS started from here. Naturally Manu pondered that if she needs to eat less to reduce, then what is the need of a dietician? There is got to be another way.
Determined to find the answers, the study began, went through books, journals, practiced on self and lost a lot of weight and as it is quite common in weight loss journey, she lost track after 6 months.
This is when she realized that she needed an accountability partner, so she posted on Facebook and got 500 girls, and a group named mission weight loss was formed.
Today mission weight loss group has a dedicated 1.25 lakhs women on a mission to lose weight.
